To the untrained eye

April 29, 2009
To the untrained eye an empty diaper box might seem like, well just that, an empty box. But for a bored almost two-year-old, it's a slide, hideout, and an easy way to entertain yourself for at least an hour. Pearl loves playing with the diaper boxes and most of time pushes them around the house begging us to take everything out and smash them down to make a slide. Tonight, she was using her imagination as she played with her new box (it should last an average of 2-3 days). I'm not really sure what she was pretending to be because I didn't get what she was saying or singing as she rolled a ball down the box, climbed on top of it, and crawled inside it. It sure is hard sometimes to understand her now that she is constantly talking and trying out new words. But oh what fun we have watching her explore new things!

Boxes are MUCH cheaper than actual toys. And they get played with more, too!

Nic wants to come out when we do bread, so let's get a date on the calendar. :)

Hmmm....not sure why I'm signed in as my niece, but that was Kami, not Kiah there. :)
