July 4, 2009It wasn't quite the same as the Logan fireworks, but hey, we had a whole bunch of sparklers left over from a few years ago and $4 worth of flowers to ignite in celebration of our country's birthday. We really go all out, don't we? Pearl was a chicken and freaked out anytime a sparkler got within 20 feet of her but she did enjoy the neighbor's snap pops, which are now all over their driveway. We thought she'd like them more considering last night she clapped the entire time the "sprinkles" (aka fireworks) were going off. With a maiden voyage to IKEA (we made out like bandits there...spending almost as much on ice cream cones and cinnamon rolls as we did our five sale items) earlier in the day, steak and corn-on-the-cob for dinner, 4th of July tattoos (yes, we all have one...or two in Jeff's case), and a grand finale of sparklers spelled out in Pearl's name and six flower fireworks bouncing in the driveway, I'd say this has been a 4th of July to remember!

I'll have to show you how to photograph light (light painting) with your camera. It is fun to mess around with when you have fireworks/sparklers!
It was $1 woth of fireworks - remember I'm CHEAP
