I should have skipped the extra calories...and the $5 bucks

March 5, 2009
After running some errands, Pearl and I decided to treat ourselves to some frozen custard. In my mind I had this wonderful vision of getting some adorable pictures of Pearl eating an Oreo concrete from Nielsen's but this is all I got. Pearl was actually more interested in smearing her sticky fingers on the windows and drinking her water with a straw. A few minutes after kissing the window and getting custard everywhere, she decided it was time to be helpful and spoon feed me as fast as she could. It did make me laugh, which is a good thing considering it was my turn to clean up poop in the bathtub tonight (and the floor and her potty chair).

Blustery day

March 4, 2009
The last couple of days have literally blown all hopes of spring flowers and sunshine away! It's been really windy and blown all kinds of leaves, pods (these long beany looking seed pods from our trees which make great swords for kids), and garbage all over our yard and driveway. I thought it might be cool to take a picture of my wind chime to remember how blustery it's been, since we don't have a kite! A few years ago, it was the only thing I wanted for Christmas (weird I know) so my mom and dad hunted all over town for the perfect wind chime. I love it! It's big, not tacky or cheap, and makes the most beautiful sound you've ever heard.

Term of endearment?

March 3, 2009
I've posted before about what I do for love but Jeff has his own "calling card" you might say. Yes, my pillow. Most nights it gets lovingly thrown off the bed and into the kitchen or dining room but tonight it only made it next to the bed. I don't get why on earth he thinks this is a sign of affection but I do know when he's mad at me, it stays in the bed.

"Crappy" Day 2

March 2, 2009
I really didn't intend to only take one picture today...and of Pearl's little behind, but it's kind of funny after the "incident" last night in the tub. It seems like every few months Pearl decides to poop in the tub and only when Jeff is giving her a bath. She definitely knows better and how much it ticks her dad off. The problem, besides being completely disgusting, is she didn't really seem to care at all that she had pooped. So today when I picked her up from daycare and saw her wearing her Santa jammies I knew she had another "crappy" day. It was kind of funny walking in and seeing her in a bright yellow shirt and Christmas pajamas that I had forgotten were her only spare clothes. Oh well, she was pretty excited to be wearing them.

I hope she sleeps through the night

What do you get when you have the "apostasy" church as Jeff calls it (1-4 pm block time), play at the park until you can't stand up any longer, get too hungry, and oh ya, don't get your nap? A very tired little girl who fell asleep eating her peas and noodles. And it's only 6:15 pm.
