The "indoor" park

February 20, 2009
We topped off our 2 hour excursion to the "indoor" park (aka play land at Arctic Circle) with the tiniest ice cream cone I have ever seen. It was the perfect ending to a fun-filled few hours with one of my best friends in the entire world, Becky and her three boys. Pearl sure enjoyed herself, despite the hundred other kids running around. I guess all moms had the same idea for a Friday activity. Let's just hope that our adventure to the indoor park (Yes, that's really where I told Pearl we were going. It was the only way to get her in the car without screaming) didn't result in picking up too many germs on all the sticky benches and slides!

It's that good

February 19, 2009
I went straight to bed after getting home from the game in Logan last night and didn't make anyone a lunch for today. Working at the health department you feel a bit of pressure to eat healthy or at least not bring in a greasy, delicious smelling burger and fries. But what did I do? Threw out all of my health education training and bought a Jr. Cheeseburger Combo from Apollo Burger. Oh the guilt as I walked in trying to sneak to my desk to eat lunch. But you know what the worst part about this unhealthy, guilty pleasure is? It was a gorgeous day outside and Apollo Burger is within walking distance from my office and yet, I drove.

V 22

February 18, 2009
We're closing in on another great USU basketball season and with the lack of photo opps today, figured it would be cool to take a picture of our seats at the game. Section V row 22 seats 1 and 2. We've had these seats for about 5 seasons now and love 'em. They're on the isle so I can stretch my legs out and right above the tunnel where the Aggies run down from. If they ever build a new specturm, I'm buying our seats and sticking them in the "man room" (aka garage) for sentimental value. And what do you think of the picture? I took it holding the camera upside down (and yes, Jeff's shoes are really that bright when the light hits them).

At least now I have a good excuse

February 17, 2009
We bought Pearl a new potty chair and boy is she excited to use it, well most days. I think all those books we've been reading are paying off. Take this morning for example. We're literally on our way out the door to head to work (frantically I might add), coats are on, keys in hand when suddenly Pearl starts telling me, "Potty, Mom!" over and over. Great I think to my self...I can't disappoint her and tell her she can't go potty but can I really be 45 minutes late to work while she sits there happily trying to do anything? We take our coats off and head into the bathroom where I try to convince Pearl that since she just peed in her diaper that she just needs to sit on the potty for a few minutes. Needless to say, I was late to work.

Once a year

February 16, 2009
Once a year I get flowers from Jeff in celebration of Presidents' Day. Even when we were dating I got flowers today because according to my hubby 1) they're cheaper than buying them on Valentine's Day thus you can get more of them for the same price and 2) it's not a real holiday unless you get a day off of work. I know, all you girls are thinking how do I let Jeff get away with this but well, it's sort of our thing now and I look forward to it every year. And boy do they smell wonderful!

This explains a lot

February 15, 2009
Jeff's mom sent home one of his elementary school assignments (called "Now that you're in charge of the world"). It explains a few things. If you can't read it, here's what Jeff wrote:

Get all the money in the world!
And all the lamburgines and all the cars and all the trucks in the world!
And have castles all over the world.
Make more electric chairs to kill people like ugly woman and girls.
The end.

Happy Valentines Day!

February 14, 2009
For all you mushy romantics out there Happy Valentines Day!

(Fine, I cheated with the picture today. I actually took it yesterday but nothing really caught my fancy with the camera today. It was sort of a boring day...just some new snow, fighting Pearl to take a nap which we lost at, and trying to get a picture of her slurping down some noodles at dinner. I really needed a faster camera to take anything worth posting.)
