February 13, 2009While I attempted to scrap off 5 years of dust and gunk on the top of our kitchen cabinets (be grateful I didn't take a picture of that for my post of the day), Pearl kept herself entertained by climbing up to the sink and playing with some dishes. At first I think she was going to try and climb up on the counters like I was but then she discovered soaking yourself in water (not to mention the floor, stove, and counter tops) was much more fun. I finally preyed her away when I realized we had a small flood on our hands, her fingers looked like shriveled prunes, and I couldn't stand the toxic fumes coming from her diaper anymore. Apparently I need to let Pearl help with the real dishes and pray this interest stays with her through the teen years!

Doubt it will last until she's a teenager, but hey, think about it...you've got a 2 year old (almost) that likes to do dishes, and vacuum! That's way better than any of us were when we were little!!
