You'll just have to imagine

My camera battery died on me today so you'll just have to imagine Pearl's first dip in the pool this summer. She was so excited to" go to the pool" (she thought we were going to the rec center) and put on her new blue polka dot swimming suit, with little ruffles on the butt. Jeff told Pearl he had a surprise for her before bedtime yesterday, which is when we discovered he had filled up the pool last night and covered so it would get warm for a swim this afternoon. She had a great time putting all her toys into it, crawling around on her hands and knees telling me she was a fishy, and then zipping down the slide when I finally was able to lug it over to the pool. We spent a good two hours outside "doing again" as Pearl says going up and down the slide, dumping buckets of water on the slide, and "watering the plants" (the grass). By the time we were done, Pearl was exhausted and all but a half inch of water was left in the pool.
