Success

Tonight was the big night... my first (and probably only) Pampered Chef party. I'm typically not the type to set these things up, I like going to them, but they aren't my thing. And the fact that this was a cooking show was really out of my league. There is so much pressure with one of these parties because most people love this stuff and rave about how fun the parties are and the food is wonderful, blah, blah, blah! Needless to say the pressure caused me to go into overdrive making dessert, salads, buying extra rolls and juice, and cleaning the entire house (I even cleaned off the desk which is saying a lot) to the point of which Jeff commented before he went to bed that he wanted the house as clean as it was before the party (still trying to decide if this was truly a compliment or not). But I do enjoy an excuse to have friends over, make some treats we normally wouldn't have, and get the house all spiffy clean. Jeff was a good sport about the whole "woman party" as he called it. It was originally supposed to be outside, far away from his air conditioning, TV, and "man zone" but it was scalding hot today and with two pregnant friends coming, I figured I better change plans and move it inside where it was cool. The table looked really cute I thought with all the food and fresh picked flowers from our yard, thanks to Jeff. We crammed a whole bunch of ladies enjoying a night away from the hubbies and kids into our tiny kitchen, ate a ton of food, chatted, and had a good time. Jeff even babysat the kids in the back room for us. Now I'm just waiting to close out my show on July 28 (if you couldn't make it but want to order something, let me know and I'll drop off a catalog or you can go online) to see how much stuff I can order for FREE! Jeff's already told me what he wants (the only "good" things in the catalog) so I need a few more sales (wink wink) to get the things I want now!
