Lasting impression

September 6, 2009
As I was getting Pearl ready for bed tonight, she randomly asked - rather begged - me to let her sleep in her "suitcase" (aka her sleeping bag) and the tent. Then she proceeded to jabber about camping and how she wanted Daddy to take her camping. I guess our trip to the Unitahs had a lasting impression on her. I wasn't too sure that Jeff would find the idea quite as intriguing as Pearl, but told her to go and ask her Dad anyway. Jeff was a bit surprised and I could tell he was trying to think of a good reason not to drag out the tent in the dark. But that little face was so excited and running around in anticipation of camping that we had to come up with something. So we decided instead of setting up the big tent in the dark, that we could convince Pearl we (well Jeff and Pearl) could camp inside in the little tent. It worked, and one potty break and a glass of chocolate milk later, those two are sound asleep in the backroom. Lucky me, I get the whole bed to myself tonight!!!

What a fun daddy!! And lucky you to not have to sleep with anyone...I'm jealous!

I love the post with pearl jumping. What a doll! I love how accessories can make the run, jump, fly, etc. Love little children and the way they think!
